Case Study:

He was a handicraft man some times he produces his own items, some time giving labor for others. But due to his poor eye sight gradually his working skills reduced and at last he left his business. He has five members in his family, 3 girls, 2 sons. Two girls are got married and younger one stays with him. One of his sons is daily labor, other one is Rickshaw puller. But none of them take care of his father or the family. Land less Nuro was struggling to maintain his family; therefore he has never consulted with any ophthalmologist. On 23rd March 2008 through the eye camp at the Gonda College Nuro Fokir was screened and came for his cataract surgery at free of cost. On his arrival day the hospital bus driver pulled him on his lap for helping him to get down from the bus and cross the hospital gate to OPD. Because he was a blind man due to mature cataract. On the next day after the operation he was crying with joy. On his discharge day we asked his name for this case study, He said his name as “Nuro Uddin”. “Your name got changed!! “Yes hope I would not be a beggar any more! “he said. “That’s good, let’s hope that you would be able to start your business again!”
